We're not going to spend a lot of time on the PHP-Nuke Admin
right now. As time permits we will update the standard PHP-Nuke
documentation, but for right now we will just brush over the many
option within the PHP-Nuke administration page.
- Submissions: This is where the admins (webmaster) would
"pick-up" articles submitted by other people.
- New Article: This is where the admins writes his new articles
to be posted to the web site.
- Auto Articles: The admins can write articles ahead of time,
preview them, and post them on a schedule. This is very handy if
your are going on a vacation and would like to keep posting an
article everyday.
- Topics Manager: This is where the admins can publish the
topics he will use in his site. It comes with many Linux based
topics already installed.
- Left Blocks: The admins can create left blocks for his site
with this.
- Right Blocks: Same as he left blocks, only on the other side
of the screen.
- Edit Users: The admins will use this to make the same changes
that a user you make when editing his own information.
- Edit Admins: If information of an admin needs to be changed,
i.e. admin "God", this is the place to do it.
- Admin Block: This block appears only to admins while they are
logged in. If there are pages intended for only admin use this is
a good place to put the links for easy admin access.
- Main Block: This is usually either the first block on the
left or the first block on the right. It contains links for
"home" and others.
- Surveys/Polls: The admins will control and write surveys and
polls here.
- HTTP Referrers: The admins will be able to check where their
visitors have come from (who referred them).
- Sections Manager: This is where admins will be able to add
Sections/edit/delete.
- Web Links: The admins will be able to approve submitted
links/edit/delete/add.
- Preferences: This is where you will set most of your web sites
settings. It is recommended that you do this first
- File Manager: From the files manager you will be able to
edit/upload/delete/move files within myPHPNuke.
- Headlines: Here you will be able to enable/disable/add/delete
headline blocks on your web site.
- FAQ: This gives you admin control over you own FAQs
- Download: myPHPNuke has added functionality to this function
allowing you to set different permissions for downloading
files.
- Forum Manager, Forum Ranking, Forum Configuration: All
allowing you to set specific settings for your web site
forum.
- Smiles: Editing/adding/deleting smiles :O)
- Reviews: Administration a Reviews section for your
web site.
- Logout/Exit: Logout as Admin
